Choosing the right flexible PCB
Getting the flex design right early avoids costly re-spins. A few decisions shape every flex build:
| Flex type first | Single/double-sided for simple interconnects; multilayer for density; rigid-flex to remove connectors and cables; add stiffeners where connectors mount. |
| Bend radius & flex life | Static bends ≥ 6× total thickness, dynamic bends ≥ 20×. Tell us the bend radius and, if dynamic, the flex-cycle count. |
| Material & copper | Polyimide thickness, copper weight and adhesiveless laminate set fine-line capability and dynamic-flex reliability. |
| Impedance | Give us your target impedance and tolerance — we set trace width, spacing and stackup and confirm with a controlled-impedance build. |
| Class & compliance | IPC-6013 Class 2 for general products, Class 3 for high-reliability (medical, aerospace, automotive); UL where required. |

- Gerber and/or DXF, with board outline, bend lines and bend radius
