Custom Wire Harness and Cable Manufacturers — Bespoke Cable Solutions

Custom wire harness and cable assemblies by P&A International

Custom Wire Harness & Cable Assembly Manufacturers

When your product depends on the cable, the build has to be right. P&A International designs, prototypes and delivers custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses — cable assemblies, multi-branch harnesses, ribbon/IDC and overmoulded USB-C — built to your connectors, wire gauge, routing and test requirement.

As an engineering-led contract manufacturer founded as an engineering consultancy, we put one dedicated engineer on your project from drawing review to qualified, tested samples in 10–15 working days, then scale into volume through our vetted partner-factory network, where every supplier is ISO 9000 certified or better.

Cables & harnesses we make

Custom cable assembly

Custom cable assemblies

Single- and multi-conductor cable assemblies built to your connectors, length and rating.

Multi-branch wire harness

Wire harnesses

Multi-branch harnesses with breakouts, labels and the right terminals for your assembly.

Ribbon and flat cable

Ribbon & flat cables

IDC ribbon and flat-flex for compact board-to-board and internal interconnects.

Overmoulded USB-C cable assembly

Overmoulded & USB-C cables

Overmoulded power and data cables, including USB-C / USB-PD, for robust field use.

Need the boards or power supplies these cables connect to? We also build flexible PCBs, electronics assembly and custom power supplies through the same engineering team and partner network.

Why engineers & buyers choose PA

For design engineers

A true build partner — one dedicated engineer, connector and crimp selection, routing and strain-relief design, and DFM that catches field-reliability risks before tooling. We build to your drawing or sample, not a generic catalogue.

For purchasing

Low-risk scalability — predictable 10–15-day prototypes, flexible MOQ from one-off to production, target-cost DFM, a single point of contact, and a vetted ISO 9000+ partner network managed end-to-end by P&A. No hand-offs, no surprises.

3 easy steps to get started

1

Send us your drawing

Send your wiring diagram, connector list or a sample. One dedicated engineer reviews it and confirms the build with you.

2

Proposed build & quote

You receive a proposed build and indicative pricing — typically within 48 hours — to review and refine together.

3

Samples & production

Qualified, tested samples in 10–15 working days; on approval we scale into volume through our partner network.

Applications

Industrial machinery & automation · medical devices · instrumentation & test · automotive & e-mobility · consumer electronics · networking & telecoms · energy & storage systems.

See our main wiring harness manufacturing page, plus electronics contract manufacturing, flexible PCB and custom power supplies.

Choosing the right cable or harness

Getting the build right early avoids costly field failures. A few decisions shape every cable assembly — and sharing this detail lets us quote and prototype faster:

Build type Single cable assembly, multi-branch harness, ribbon/IDC, or an overmoulded cable — tell us the application and we recommend.
Wire & terminal AWG, insulation and rating set current capacity and flexibility; matching the right terminal/crimp to the contact is the key reliability driver.
Protection Sleeving, braid, conduit, tape and heat-shrink for abrasion, EMI and flex life; strain relief where the cable meets connectors.
Test & class Continuity and hipot as standard; IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 1/2/3 to match the product reliability need.
Environment Temperature, vibration, moisture/IP and any automotive or medical requirement drive material and overmould choices.

What to send us for a fast, accurate quote

The more of this you can share, the quicker we can return a proposed build and price:

  • Wiring diagram / harness drawing, or a sample to copy
  • Connector make & series at each end (or function)
  • Wire gauge (AWG), insulation, colour-code and rating
  • Circuit count, overall length and branch/breakout dimensions
  • Terminals/contacts, crimp vs IDC, pre-tinning
  • Sleeving, braid, conduit, tape, heat-shrink, labels, strain relief
  • Test requirement (continuity/hipot/pull) and IPC/WHMA-A-620 class
  • Operating environment and target cost, quantity and annual volume

Working from a sample or a competitor part is fine — our engineer will reverse-engineer it or build a drop-in equivalent to your specification.

    Frequently asked questions

What can you build — harnesses, cable assemblies or both?
Both — multi-branch wire harnesses, single- and multi-conductor cable assemblies, ribbon/IDC, and overmoulded power and data cables including USB-C. Send your application and we will recommend the build.
Can you work from a sample or a wiring diagram?
Yes — send a drawing, connector list, netlist or a physical sample and our engineer will produce a build to copy or improve it.
Which test and quality standards do you build to?
Continuity and hipot testing as standard, with build to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 1, 2 or 3 to match your reliability needs. Every supplier in our network is ISO 9000 certified or better.
Can you overmould connectors and seal cables for harsh environments?
Yes — overmoulding, potting, sleeving and strain relief for moisture, vibration and abrasion resistance, with the materials chosen for your environment.
What are prototype lead times and minimum order quantities?
Qualified samples with test data typically in 10-15 working days. Volumes scale through our vetted partner-factory network; share your annual volume and we will confirm an MOQ with the quote.
